NetSuite acquires OpenAir

CBR Staff Writer Published 29 August 2008

On-demand CRM supplier NetSuite has agreed to acquire on-demand professional services automation software provider OpenAir for approximately $26m.

All 56 OpenAir staff will join NetSuite in their current roles. NetSuite will set up an east coast headquarters in OpenAir's Boston location, and will integrate its existing applications with OpenAir's applications via web services.

NetSuite said the acquisition will speed up the development of products for business and IT consulting, professional services, accounting, and government contracting.

Zach Nelson, chief executive at NetSuite, said: We are excited about leveraging OpenAir's industry knowledge and customer insight to create the next generation of cloud computing business applications for services management. The combination of NetSuite and OpenAir will accelerate our time to market and deliver a feature-rich, fully-integrated, on-demand suite for time-and-project based companies.
