CBR Staff Writer Published 19 November 2010

Role-specific information through an improved user interface and personalised dashboards

Microsoft has enhanced the Dynamics GP 2010, to provide midsize customers with new contextual business intelligence capabilities and additional features that make information accessible to people across an organisation.

The new Dynamics GP 2010 R2 features an enhancing insight into role-specific information through an improved user interface and personalised dashboards; and makes it easier to complete tasks with improved approval workflow and electronic signature capabilities.

The new offering also provides extended connections through Fact Boxes and Action Shortcuts, which are now connected with Microsoft Lync 2010 instant messaging windows, bringing information about the people who are chatting and their companies to the user's access.

Microsoft Dynamics ERP product management group general manager Crispin Read said the company has seen unprecedented momentum for Dynamics GP 2010, having recently added more new customers in one quarter than any previous quarter in the history of the offering.

"Dynamics GP 2010 R2 delivers on our ongoing commitment to provide customers with long-term value and the ability to make quicker decisions by presenting intelligence that's directly relevant to their job," Read said.
