Dell provides integrated OpenManage solutions with Microsoft

CBR Staff Writer Published 29 May 2009

For cost-effective management of physical and virtual IT assets

Dell has introduced Microsoft System Center Essentials Management Suite (SCEM), a new packaged solution developed specifically for managing Microsoft applications, multi-vendor hypervisors including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESX.

If used with Dell PRO-Pack (Performance and Resource Optimisation Pack) and Dell Management Packs, clients are expected to have cost-efficient manageability across both physical and virtual IT resources.

Dell also provides Hyper-V Technology and FastTrack Design Services with advanced management options to speed up the deployment and configuration of Microsoft Hyper-V, System Center and Dell PRO-Pack technologies.

Sally Stevens, vice president of Platform Marketing at Dell, said: “Dell and Microsoft have been partnering closely to harness technology to bring new levels of efficiency and business value.

“The combination of Dell OpenManage and Microsoft System Center tools removes complexity from managing virtual and physical infrastructures. As a result, our customers will spend less time worrying about health and capacity issues and more time implementing new solutions to efficiently run their business.”
