Conservation International deploys UNIT4's ERP application

CBR Staff Writer Published 20 September 2012

Agresso will replace Oracle e-Business as well as several proprietary software applications that CI currently uses

Nonprofit environmental organisation Conservation International (CI) has selected UNIT4 Business Software's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application, Agresso Business World to meet its reporting, management and business needs.

Agresso Business World will consolidate CI's existing ERP applications, replacing Oracle e-Business as well as several proprietary software applications that CI currently uses.

CI selected Agresso Business World because of its architectural design that grants post-implementation agility.

The ERP application also grants tracking and donor reporting, enhanced workflow capability, simple use and maintenance, and functionality for remote countries, including its multi-language, multi-currency capabilities.

Conservation International Financial Applications director Gregory Kinard said the lack of central and integrated data created inefficiencies that impacted the time staff could spend on conservation and research and that could result in decisions based on incomplete or inaccurate information.

"Agresso will allow CI to track the grant information it needs, track any new information in the future, and easily fulfill new or changing reporting requirements," Kinard said.
